Dean's Alliance

The Dean’s Alliance is an exclusive group of alumni, supporters, and stakeholders who are committed to engaging with the Luddy School in a variety of meaningful ways. This group serves as an advisory and resource network, contributing to the strategic direction of the school and helping to connect key initiatives to external resources.

Events for members

State-of-the-School (Virtual): An annual virtual event to hear from the Dean and school leadership about the year’s progress, challenges, and priorities.

Dean’s Alliance Social Event (In-Person): A gathering held annually, rotating between the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses, to engage with other members and celebrate the school’s initiatives.

Here are the expectations for members.

Engagement and Support

Members of the Dean’s Alliance are expected to actively engage with the School and its leadership, offering advice, guidance, and support when needed. This could include offering expertise, helping to connect the School with external networks, or providing insights on strategic initiatives. Members may be asked to serve on task forces, focus groups, or ad-hoc committees depending on interest and expertise.

Communication and Updates

Members will receive regular updates about the school’s strategic initiatives and activities. They are expected to stay informed and contribute to conversations and planning when appropriate.

Advocacy for the School

As influential alumni and supporters, members of the Dean’s Alliance are encouraged to act as ambassadors for the Luddy School, promoting its programs, initiatives, and accomplishments within their networks.

While there is no philanthropic requirement for membership, members will be notified in advance that they will receive solicitations for donations during their service. Participation in fundraising efforts is voluntary.
