Annual and Major Gifts

Luddy Step Up Annual Fund Drive
The Luddy Step Up Fund exists to bring in dependable, year-to-year contributions from alumni and supporters, aligning these gifts with the school’s most pressing priorities as identified by the dean. Every commitment, large or small, has a meaningful impact on the school’s ability to meet essential needs.
Because the Luddy School receives only a modest share of its yearly budget from the state, it relies heavily on other revenue streams such as private philanthropy.

Donate outright or pledge $1000, and we’ll recognize your generosity with a nameplate on a seat in Luddy Hall’s premier space, Dorsey Learning Hall. Seats are limited. Contact luddydev@iu.edu if interested
Your nameplate can say anything
We’ll help you choose wording that’s just right. Examples are:
- Your name, degree, and class year
- A tribute to a favorite professor or staff member
- A memorial for a loved one
Senior Class Gift
You’re going to do amazing things. Help tomorrow’s students prepare to do the same. Make a gift to commemorate your senior year and leave your legacy at the Luddy School.

Major Gifts
Our principal and major gift officers cultivate long-term relationships with Luddy alumni and supporters, aligning each donor’s philanthropic goals with the school’s strategic priorities.
While annual contributions address immediate needs, principal and major gifts typically establish endowed funds that support scholarships, fellowships, faculty positions, programs, labs, or centers. These endowments exist in perpetuity and grow indefinitely, ensuring Luddy can continue delivering an outstanding education to the innovators and technology leaders of the future.
