What if one weekend could change the way you see your future? Join us on either March 6-7 or March 27-28 to find out WHY LUDDY is a great fit for you and your college experience. The programs are identical, so pick which weekend works best for you.

You’ll hear from our faculty about each of our tech majors, meet our career and advising teams who will guide you on your way to your dream career, and interact with current Luddy students who will show you WHY LUDDY is the path toward your future in technology.

Pro Tip

At Why Luddy, you’ll learn everything you want to know about LUDDY. To learn more about IU as a whole, consider attending the IU Red Carpet Day session in conjunction with the Why Luddy event you choose; there are Red Carpet Day events offered on Friday, March 6th and Friday, March 27th. Read about Red Carpet Days. Students can register for a Red Carpet Day through their IU student portal.

Travel

Need help getting to campus? Learn about shuttles to IU from the Indianapolis International Airport, ride share and taxi services, and much more at the IU Visitors Center.

Parking for Why Luddy is free.

Friday parking:

  • Parents will drop off students in the circle drive off Sunrise, at the Teter entrance, where students will be checked in for the event.
  • Parents can then proceed to the Forrest Avenue Garage (1015 E. 11th Street, behind the Luddy Center for AI). Take a parking ticket to enter the garage, but the gate will be up when you depart, so no payment will be necessary.
  • For an LLC tour and/or picking up your student at the end of the evening, we recommend parking in Lot 148 (located at the corner of 10th Street and Sunrise Dr).

Saturday parking:

  • Saturday parking will be at the Forrest Avenue Garage.

There are many hotel options in Bloomington for Why Luddy guests. Below are a few local hotels that have offered to hold a few rooms for a limited time on these weekends.

Can’t make it to Why Luddy?

Be sure to register for one of twenty-two IU Red Carpet Days, specifically designed for admitted students. You’ll get in-depth knowledge about IU, and you’ll have an opportunity to visit Luddy for a special Red Carpet Day information session at 2pm.
