What you'll learn

You'll start with core courses in interaction design, design strategy, and user research. Then, you can personalize your journey by choosing electives that match your interests and career goals. Here are some ways students make the program their own.

  • Blend your background: Combine your knowledge from fields like data science, AI, education, or public policy with your HCI/d studies to bring a unique perspective to your design work.
  • Build on your degree: Use your undergraduate degree in areas like architecture or engineering to enrich your approach to human-computer interaction.
  • Focus on your industry: Prepare for specific sectors, whether it's a Fortune 500 company, an agile startup, or organizations at various stages of UX maturity.
  • Specialize your role: Choose a path that suits you—be it user interface design, user research, product management, or a generalist position.

This flexibility allows you to shape your path and develop a unique design perspective that aligns with your aspirations.
